We've Got Mail

We have recieved many, many encouraging emails from folks around the country who have heard our story and written to wish us well. Below is one from today:

I am blessed to hear of the new work God is doing in your midst.

The Lord gave me this song for you just now! I praise God for your faithfulness.

Praise to the Lord, who over all things so wondrously reigneth,
shelters thee under his wings, yea, so gently sustaineth!
Hast thou not seen how thy desires ever have been
granted in what he ordaineth?

Praise to the Lord, who doth prosper thy work and defend thee;
surely his goodness and mercy here daily attend thee.
Ponder anew what the Almighty can do,if with his love he befriend thee.

Your Sister in Christ and friend,
Merlena

God bless each of you. I was ordained in Western Michigan in 1984 at the Cathedral by Bishop Charles Bennison. I have good memories of a Diocese now no longer there. What you are doing will help renew the face and soul of Anglicanism in this country. Do not be afraid!

As a member of a realigning parish under Uganda and Bp. Guernsey, I can appreciate the sense of earthly release from the bondage of TEC. Bp. Guernsey made his first episcopal visit to our 6 week old parish last evening and confirmed 10, received 1, and reaffirmed more than 50 people. The Lord’s provision to a faithful congregation has been nothing short of miraculous. I can’t accurately describe the gratitude and joy we experienced in receiving Bp. Guernsey and his lovely wife Meg, and sharing in the Word of our Lord Jesus Christ. Surely, this is a taste of heaven. I know that God’s blessings will be upon the faithful parish of Holy Trinity Anglican. Our parish, Christ Church Anglican, Phoenix, will be praying and giving thanksgiving for you. Thanks be to God!

Greetings in the Mighty Name of Jesus Christ!

We at Christ Church Anglican send you our love and prayers. We left TEC at the end of August. We also left our buildings. Our property was given to us by Senator and Mrs. Barry Goldwater who are buried on the property. It was not donated to the Diocese of AZ or the national church, but to Christ Church of the Ascension, our former Episcopal parish. Nevertheless, like you, we decided that buildings were not worth our souls. 40% of regular Sunday attendance (and the chairs of many ministries) left with us to found Christ Church Anglican.

Please be assured that God will provide for you. He has for us and we are now worshiping in a rented church property, are building a choir and initiating a rector search. Our rector did not come with us to the new church.

Our web site is: www.christchurchanglicanaz.org. When you give yourself over to God’s will rather than your own, you begin to see a wonderful new side of your faith. Throughout all of this, the discernment, the uncertainty, the decision and the departure, God always went before us. He will not forsake you. God Bless you for your faithfulness. You must know that you were right to leave and apostate church.

We lift you up in prayer.

Your fellow Anglicans in the desert,

Praise God! I was born in that beautiful little town on the shores of Lake Michigan (not an Episcopalian but I got there as soon as I could [and then had to leave again]). Bless Fr. Gross and his congregation!
